Wingsong neighed over her shoulder. ”I heard that!” She perked her ears to hear her brother’s response. ”You are!” he neighed. Wingsong shook her head, slightly smiling, and walked into the grove. Stormwind and Sunmist were talking to Wingsong’s parents, Frostwing and Skycloud. “Do you think Redwing will come searching for us?” Sunmist asked worriedly. Frostwing shook his head. ”If he does, we’ll take care of it. Dont worry.” he turned to Skycloud. ”You take care of them.” as the over-stallion turned and walked out, Wingsong trotted up to the twins. ”Like my sire said, you’ll be okay.” Sunmist stared at Wingsong again. She didnt seem to understand how a pegasus couldnt have wings. Stormwind whacked his sister’s back thigh with his tail. Wingsong nickered. ”Its okay, she can stare.” Sunmist snorted and mumbled to her brother. ”Why did we have to chose a herd with a horse?” Stormwind lost it and bit the filly’s neck, causing it to slightly bleed. ”You dont say something like that!” Sunmist shrieked. ”Ow! Seriously?! You coward!” The palomino pinto filly pranced away to a grass patch, her tail flicking in anger. Wingsong’s eyes widened. She heard what the filly said, but didnt really mind. But Sunmist wasnt only mean and sassy, she had a temper.

Stormwind sighed. ”Sorry about that,” he whispered. Wingsong looked at him. ”Its fine.“ Suddenly she thought about what Icebreeze told her. It seemed ridiculous. But should she ask Stormwind to come with her? After a few seconds of debating, Wingsong decided to ask him. ”Stormwind, Icebreeze wants me and you to journey to the Interior and find Ashblaze. My brother said Ashblaze can help me get wings.” Stormwind’s eyes widened. Wingsong cringed. The colt seemed a little shocked, but nodded. ”Sure.” Wingsong exhaled in relief and nodded in agreement. ”Good. Ashblaze wants us there in a moon. Although by flying we would get there in half of a moon, but if I’m walking it would take us a full moon.” Stormwind thought for a minute. ”We’ll leave at dawn the day after tomorrow.”
