“I dont know what the pegasus looked like, but it looked gray, but with bright wings. It was behind a bush, yet blended in with the fog. I couldn’t tell if it was a stallion or mare.” Wingsong finished her story, and stood. The three foals and yearling stood in front of her confused but curious. Skycloud walked up to her filly. ”Did the pegasus have any markings?“ Wingsong shrugged. ”I couldnt tell.” She suddenly remembered something. ”Oh, mother, I need to tell you something that happened while I was searching for father.” Wingsong walked out of the grove, and Skycloud followed. ”What happened?” the mare asked. ”Moonblaze. He was gonna kill me.” Wingsong said it without hesitation. She wasnt really scared, but was eager to get the evil yearling in trouble. He deserved punishment. Not only did he try to murder a filly, but everyone in Anok knew he was the great-grandcolt of the Destoyer, and the grandcolt of a former Betrayer. He was evil. Wingsong never trusted him, he had made fun of her from the beginning. Moonblaze was Icebreeze’s friend, but Icebreeze grew to know his friend’s behavior.

Skycloud shook her head, then examined her brave filly. She knew Wingsong was able to outsmart the dumb-minded yearling colt. ”Did he get a chance to attack you?” Wingsong shook her head. Skycloud sighed and started to walk away. ”I’m going to see your father.“ she said over her shoulder. Wingsong nodded. As her dam walked away, Wingsong stood there in thought. Suddenly she seemed to realize what happened earlier. She could’ve died. Actually die. Removing the past out of her head, Wingsong started back to her new friends. On her way, she heard more movement in some different bushes. Perking her ears, Wingsong trotted to the sound. ”Who’s there? Show yourself this time.” she whinnied. The fog was gone there, and this was her chance to get a good look at the animal, most likely that pegaus. A snort came from the bushes, letting Wingsong know it was a land horse or a pegasus. Emerging from the bushes, the same pegasus stood a few feet away from Wingsong.

It was a stallion- a very tall stallion. He had a dark gray coat, and shimmering white wings. The stallion was quite old. ”Who. .are you?” Wingsong stuttered.

”Ashblaze.“ The stallion spoke deeply and calmly. Wingsong gasped. ”Ashblaze? The legendary Ashblaze? You are alive?“
