After 2 weeks Morningstar was well enough to stand and walk for a short time.
Sweetroot had been bringing her moss every half hour. She told Morningstar to wait to walk till she was strong enough but she doubted the filly would listen.
3 weeks after Morningstar had been brought home she tried to walk. She had seen where they had buiryed Star. She managed to stand and walk the 40 wing lengths to his grave. She collapsed next to it. "I love you papa! Forgive me for how I have been acting!" She softly whickered.
Morningleaf stood near Morningstar but she did not speak to her foal. She stayed hidden, then she screamed! Out of the shadows came a tall handsome stallion, his body was creamy white and his feathers a very pale yellow. His tail curled.
"Who are you?!" Morningstar almost shouted.
"I am Starfrost the son of Larksong and Frostfire. Sister to Larksong. My sir, Frostfire is dead and we wish to be accepted into River herd.. Star once said that anyone could join. can me speak to him?" Starfrost asked politely.
Morningleaf stepped forward. "No you can not. He died a year ago. We will still welcome your family. No matter what. Where are they?"
Suddenly the bushes shook. And out stepped a Buckskin mare and a small creamy colored filly with pretty soft peachy pink feathers emerged hidding behind her dam.
The mare spoke. "Morningleaf. It has been so long."
Morningleaf let out a sob. It was Larkfrost the mare Star had healed!
